Wolves striker Jorgen Strand-Larsen is expected to complete a move to Crystal Palace today, as a transfer fee of £48m was agreed.
Last week, Leeds United submitted a bid of £33m for the striker, with £6m in add-ons. This was rejected by Wolves, which ended the West Yorkshire club’s interest for a player deemed too expensive to pursuit.

Bundesliga Striker ‘Not On Radar’
That did not stop the media frenzy around United’s search for a striker to slow down. VfL Wolfsburg striker Mohamed Amoura, who featured for Algeria in the latest AFCON in Morrocco, was linked to the Premier League club. Amoura was not part of the Wolfsburg squad that played against Cologne last Friday in the Bundesliga.
However, journalist Isaac Johnson has confirmed that The Whites are no longer interested in the Algerian. He said:
“Leeds had been connected with the 5ft 7in attacker and rumours elevated after he was left out of the Wolfsburg squad over the weekend over ill-discipline. But I’ve been told he is not on the radar.”
The striker has 7 Bundesliga goals this season, from 13 starts. With international, Super League and Ligue 1 experience on his resume, he would have been a young, exciting addition to the frontline.
What Else Is Happening On Deadline Day?
Elsewhere, Fulham midfielder Harry Wilson – who Leeds were interested in the summer – has been the subject of interest from Everton. As one of the best performers in the Premier League this season, Fulham have rejected the enquiry.
As it stands, Leeds have no player in the works that they are looking to sign today before the transfer window shuts this evening.
