This Cookie Policy explains how lufcnews.co.uk (“we”, “our” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your preferences and understand how it is used.

Types of cookies we use

• Strictly necessary: needed for the site to work, for example to keep you logged in or keep the site secure.
• Performance and analytics: help us count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site.
• Functional: remember choices you make, such as your login or comment details.
• Advertising: this site is funded by advertising. We and our advertising partners, including Google AdSense, may set cookies to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure how well they work. Some ads may be personalised.
• Social media: set by services such as Facebook or X when you view or share embedded content.

Consent and how to control cookies

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies, using a consent notice when you first visit. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that notice, if shown, or through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; see your browser’s help pages. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. You can also learn more about online advertising choices at youronlinechoices.com.

Third parties

Advertising and embedded content providers set their own cookies and have their own policies. We do not control them. For Google’s use of data in advertising, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Your rights and contact

Where cookies involve personal data, your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 are set out in our Privacy Policy. For questions, email info@lufcnews.co.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
