Leeds United lost 2-0 at Bournemouth after Evanilson’s first-half opener and an added-time goal from Amine Adli. Daniel Farke’s side left the Vitality Stadium without a goal as the hosts continued their winning run.

Evanilson struck in the 31st minute after Bournemouth capitalised on an error in possession by James Trafford. Leeds remained one goal behind until the closing stages, before Adli finished from Junior Kroupi’s pass to settle the match.
Bournemouth 2-0 Leeds: how the goals came
Leeds thought they had taken an early lead when Dominic Calvert-Lewin bundled in James Justin’s cross, but a VAR check ruled the goal out for handball. Harry Wilson then sent an effort just wide before Bournemouth went ahead.
Trafford’s misplaced pass gave Bournemouth their opening. Justin Kluivert supplied Evanilson, who converted to put the home side ahead just after the half-hour mark.
Leeds had started with Daniel James and Nico Elvedi in the side, replacing Brenden Aaronson and Jaka Bijol. Noah Okafor and Joe Rodon had not travelled, while Anton Stach was among the substitutes.
The change in personnel did not produce the attacking breakthrough Leeds needed. Bournemouth took a 1-0 lead into the interval and protected that advantage through most of the second half.
Leeds cannot find an equaliser
Leeds had more possession overall, but the BBC’s match statistics recorded only one shot on target for the visitors, compared with five for Bournemouth. Their control of the ball did not translate into enough work for home goalkeeper Đorđe Petrović.
Trafford kept Leeds in the contest after the break, saving Marcus Tavernier’s low free-kick in the 65th minute. But Leeds could not find an equaliser before Bournemouth scored again.
Adli settles the result
The decisive second arrived in added time. Kroupi slipped a pass through to Adli, who finished from close range to make it 2-0.
For Leeds, the difference was between staying in touch on the scoreboard and creating the chances needed to change it. Farke’s side were still within one goal late on, but Bournemouth’s second ended the contest.
The result followed Leeds’ goalless draw at Sunderland and left them with another match without a goal. Bournemouth, meanwhile, added a sixth successive win in all competitions.
