Leeds United Set to Capitalize as Premier League Club Reconsiders £20m Star’s Future

Leeds United could be making a big push for a new no.10 in the January transfer window, and one name that’s been mentioned is James McAtee.

The 20-year-old English midfielder, currently at Manchester City, could be available for a loan move after struggling for game time this season.

Leeds Eye McAtee After Summer Links

Leeds were linked with McAtee during the summer but couldn’t land him. Now, with City considering a January exit for the £20m-rated player, Leeds may have another chance.

While the Championship side has only one natural no.10 in Brenden Aaronson, McAtee’s arrival could provide much-needed competition in the attacking midfield role.

Is McAtee Realistic for Leeds?

While Leeds would benefit greatly from McAtee’s quality, securing him is far from certain.

After an impressive season on loan at Sheffield United, McAtee has shown he’s capable of playing in the Premier League.

With top-flight clubs like Crystal Palace and West Ham reportedly in the running, Leeds may find it hard to lure him away.

However, if McAtee struggles to find a consistent starting role at City, a move to Leeds could become a real possibility.

Leeds United should remain hopeful but realistic. McAtee’s potential is clear, but whether he will want to move to a second-tier club like Leeds remains uncertain.

However, if the right opportunity arises, it could be a fantastic signing for the club’s top-two ambitions in the Championship.
