Stuart Dallas believes Harry Wilson can surpass his best Fulham form once he settles at Leeds United. The former Whites player urged patience with the summer signing, whose early spell at Elland Road has been interrupted by a quad injury.

Speaking to Leeds Live, Dallas said Wilson had arrived with a big reputation after a strong final season at Fulham, but that a new system and life away from the pitch take time to adjust to. He did not offer a return date.
Dallas sees more to come from Wilson
“He’s injured at the minute, so hopefully he gets that sorted. But I have no doubt in the qualities that he brings,” Dallas told the outlet. He said Leeds play differently from Fulham and that the club needs to find the best way to use Wilson. Dallas added that, once the Wales international produces goals and assists again, he is confident supporters will see “an upgraded version even on last year.”
Wilson joined Leeds on a free transfer in the summer. He has started one Premier League match so far, according to Leeds Live, and has also been asked to play in a wide No 10 role rather than solely on the wing. Those facts give Dallas’s comments context, not a guarantee that Wilson will reproduce last season’s numbers.
What Leeds have said about the injury
Daniel Farke confirmed on Leeds United’s official site on 18 September that Wilson had a quad injury and would miss the Crystal Palace match. Farke said the player had reported problems after the previous match and during training. The club’s statement did not set a return date, so his availability for the next Leeds match should not be assumed.
Farke had previously said Wilson was still adapting to a different style of play, according to Leeds Live’s 26 September report. Dallas’s view fits that cautious picture: he sees the talent, but neither fitness nor form can be rushed.
