Daniel Farke Could Get Second Chance to Sign Leeds Promotion Hero after Major Update

by Alex Matthews

Leeds United have made big changes to their squad since winning promotion to the Premier League. The club brought in new attacking players, and some of those signings made a strong impact last season.

Even so, there is still one familiar face who could help Daniel Farke’s side if the chance comes up this summer.

Manor Solomon enjoyed an excellent loan spell at Elland Road during Leeds’ promotion-winning campaign.

Although things did not go well for him after returning to Tottenham Hotspur, reports suggest he is now looking for a permanent move away from North London.

With his future uncertain, Leeds could have a decision to make if an opportunity comes their way.

Manor Solomon’s Leeds spell left a strong impression

Solomon only spent one season at Leeds United, but he quickly became a fan favourite. The winger brought pace, creativity and energy to the attack throughout the Championship campaign.

He scored important goals during the season and regularly caused problems for defenders with his direct style of play.

His biggest moment came on the final day when he found the net in a match that helped Leeds finish at the top of the table and secure the league title.

His partnership with the attacking players around him helped Leeds become one of the most dangerous teams in the division. The club scored goals from all areas of the pitch, and Solomon played a key role in that success.

Many supporters hoped Leeds would try to keep him after promotion, but a permanent move never happened.

A difficult season after leaving Elland Road

After returning to Tottenham, Solomon did not enjoy the same level of success.

He spent time on loan in Spain before his move ended earlier than expected. A second loan spell in Italy also failed to produce the kind of form he had shown in Yorkshire.

Instead of becoming a regular starter, the winger struggled for game time and could not build any real momentum. His numbers were far below what he managed during his season with Leeds.

Despite that disappointing campaign, Solomon is still only 27 years old and has already shown what he can do when he is playing with confidence.

That could make him an interesting option for clubs searching for experience and quality on the wings.

Leeds may still need more competition out wide

Leeds strengthened their attack after promotion by bringing in several new forwards, and those additions helped the club stay competitive in the Premier League.

However, the wide positions were not always consistent during the season.

Dan James missed matches through injury, while Wilfried Gnonto struggled to produce his best performances regularly. At times, Leeds lacked the pace and creativity that Solomon offered during the promotion campaign.

Adding another winger would give Daniel Farke more options and greater competition across the front line.

Solomon already knows the club, understands the manager’s style and would not need much time to settle into the dressing room.

Daniel Farke could play a big role again

One reason Solomon performed so well at Leeds was the trust shown by Daniel Farke.

The winger has previously spoken about how important the Leeds manager was in convincing him to join the club. That relationship could still matter if Leeds decide to explore another move.

Managers often get the best out of players who fit their system, and Solomon looked comfortable under Farke’s coaching.

Even after a difficult year away from Elland Road, that connection could help him rediscover his best football.

West Ham are also in the race

Leeds may not have a free run if Solomon becomes available.

Reports have linked West Ham United with the Tottenham winger as they look to strengthen their own attacking options.

The London club are searching for more quality on the flanks and could see Solomon as a player capable of improving their squad.

That means Leeds would likely face competition if they decide to approach.

A move worth thinking about

Leeds United have already shown they are willing to strengthen their squad with players who can make an immediate impact.

Signing Manor Solomon would still carry some risk after his difficult season away from Elland Road, but his previous performances in a Leeds shirt prove he can succeed under Daniel Farke.

If Tottenham are prepared to let him leave permanently, Leeds may feel it is the right time to bring back a player who already knows the club, has the support of the fans and has shown he can deliver in white.

Whether the Whites make a move remains to be seen, but Solomon’s future is certainly one to watch before the transfer window closes.
