Facing Newcastle will naturally add another layer to the story because of his history with the club.

Leeds, meanwhile, will be focused on getting back to winning ways in the Premier League.

The three-match unbeaten start has given Farke’s team a solid platform, but the draws against Brighton and Brentford mean there is still a feeling that more points could have been collected.

The Chelsea defeat also showed that Leeds need to be more clinical and more controlled when matches become difficult.
