Tierney’s record with both clubs

The club says Leeds have won ten and drawn three of the 25 matches involving Tierney. Arsenal have won 11 and lost six of their 23 matches involving him.

Those past results are context, not evidence of how Saturday’s decisions will go. The appointment does not establish a refereeing advantage for either side.

Leeds also list five matches officiated by Tierney across all competitions this season, including two Premier League games. Their published season figures are 14 yellow cards and one red card.

The club’s article says Tierney is in his 12th top-flight season and has taken charge of 197 fixtures. It also notes that his most recent Leeds match was a 2-1 win at Old Trafford, with Noah Okafor scoring twice. However, none of that tells us how Saturday will go, because a referee’s record does not decide a result.

This Arsenal v Leeds referee update is an officials update only. Neither the appointment nor those figures settle the teams, player availability or the outcome at the Emirates.
