Harry Wilson has warned Leeds United that Manchester United’s poor form will count for little unless the Whites deliver at Elland Road on Sunday.
The winger expects another strong atmosphere for the rivalry, but his message is about using that support rather than taking a result for granted.

Harry Wilson calls for a performance
Speaking on Radio X on Thursday, in an interview reported by Leeds Live’s Isaac Johnson, Wilson said Leeds had made a solid start to the season. He then brought the focus back to the next game.
“In football, you have to make sure you deliver on the day,” he said. “People might think Man United are not in the greatest form at the moment but everyone knows what good players they’ve got.”
Harry Wilson added that the game would be tough if Leeds were not at their best. His aim is to keep doing what has worked and use the energy from the supporters.
That warning is a useful counterweight to the excitement around the fixture. A lively home crowd can help Leeds, but Wilson is not treating the opposition’s recent results as a guarantee.

Newcastle atmosphere sets the standard
Harry Wilson picked the Newcastle home game as his standout memory of Elland Road so far. He described the support as “magic” and said football under the lights carries an extra feeling for players.
Sunday is a different kick-off time, but he expects the crowd to bring the same energy. “The support inside the stadium that night was amazing,” he said of Newcastle. “That’s going to be no different on Sunday.”
Leeds’ official fixture announcement lists the United game for Sunday 18 October at 2pm UK time, live on Sky Sports.
Harry Wilson is not the only player looking forward to the occasion. Nico Elvedi has also spoken about the rivalry and the motivation it gives Leeds.
Settling into the Leeds group
Wilson also spoke about finding his place at the club. Having Welsh teammates helped him settle, while he praised the wider group for welcoming new arrivals.
For Harry Wilson, that sense of togetherness sits alongside the demand for a performance. His message before United is clear: draw on the crowd, respect the players coming to Elland Road and make sure Leeds are ready on the day.
