Fabrizio Romano Reveals Leeds Closing In On “Prolific” 50-Goal Striker In Stunning Transfer Twist

by Alex Matthews

Leeds United are pushing hard in the transfer market as Daniel Farke looks to build a squad strong enough to survive in the Premier League.

The Whites already made a big move by signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton on a free transfer, and now another exciting forward could be on the way, AC Milan striker Noah Okafor.

Calvert-Lewin Brings Premier League Experience

The arrival of Calvert-Lewin has given Leeds a forward who knows the Premier League well.

The England international joined on a free after his contract with Everton ended.

Farke admitted in his press conference that bringing in Calvert-Lewin is a risk, because of his past injury problems.

But he also said that a player with his quality would never have been available to Leeds if he had stayed fully fit.

“He had some tough years with injuries, but if he was at his best last season, we would never get him,” Farke explained. “It’s always about risk and reward.”

Even with Calvert-Lewin now in the squad, Farke wants more options in attack.

Leeds need creativity and goals to compete in the top flight, and the manager believes one more forward could make a big difference.

Leeds Step Up Chase For Noah Okafor

Reports say Leeds have now submitted an offer worth over £17m for Swiss international Noah Okafor.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the deal is close, with Leeds offering him a contract until 2029, with an option for one more year.

Okafor can play anywhere across the front three, either down the middle or out wide, which makes him an ideal signing for Farke’s system.

At just 24 years old, he already has 50 career goals for club and country.

During his time at AC Milan, Okafor showed flashes of real quality, although he struggled for regular game time and also had a loan spell at Napoli.

Now, he could be ready for a fresh start in England.

Why Okafor Could Be A Game-Changer

Okafor has pace, skill and the ability to score in big games.

Back in 2023, football scout Jacek Kulig even called him “incredibly prolific.” For Leeds, who are searching for more goals, his arrival would add much-needed firepower.

The Premier League is a tough place, especially for newly promoted teams, but with Calvert-Lewin’s experience and Okafor’s energy, Leeds could have the tools to surprise many this season.

Now it’s all down to Okafor to give the green light. If he agrees, Leeds will complete another major signing and give fans plenty of reason to get excited.
