Trophy history: league titles

The first title, in 1968-69, came with a record 67 points, 27 wins and just two defeats. The 34-match unbeaten run that began in October 1968 is still the club record. Leeds won again in 1973-74, under Revie, and for a third time in 1991-92 under Howard Wilkinson, the last season before the Premier League began.

Cups in the trophy history

The League Cup in 1968, a 1-0 final win over Arsenal, was the club’s first major trophy. The FA Cup came in 1972, again against Arsenal. Leeds also reached FA Cup finals in 1965, 1970 and 1973 and lost all three.

Europe in the trophy history

Leeds won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, the forerunner of the UEFA Cup, in 1968 against Ferencvaros and in 1971 against Juventus. They have also been runners-up in the European Cup (1975) and the Cup Winners’ Cup (1973).

Charity Shield trophy history

Leeds beat Manchester City in 1969 and won the 1992 Charity Shield 4-3 against Liverpool at Wembley, with Eric Cantona scoring a hat-trick.

Second Division and Championship

Leeds have won the second tier five times when the Second Division and the Championship are counted together. The two most recent came under Marcelo Bielsa in 2019-20 and Daniel Farke in 2024-25.
