Illan Meslier – 6/10

The French goalkeeper had a quiet afternoon with little to do. Meslier’s performance was solid but unspectacular, as Wednesday’s attacks rarely troubled him.

Sam Byram – 7/10

Byram handled Wednesday’s attacking efforts well, especially on his side of the pitch. His defensive contributions were key, and he made a couple of strong interventions throughout the match.

Ethan Ampadu – 6/10

Ampadu had a decent game, stepping in to make important defensive plays. While not as commanding as usual, he supported Byram effectively on the left side.

Joe Rodon – 6.5/10

Rodon was composed in possession and made good use of the ball, keeping Leeds’ play ticking. He also contributed with solid defensive tackles when needed.

Jayden Bogle – 6.5/10

Bogle looked brighter than in previous games, especially in the first half. His attacking efforts stood out, and he played a part in setting up Leeds’ second goal.

Ao Tanaka – 6.5/10

Tanaka was energetic and tenacious in midfield, making life difficult for the Owls. His late goal was a classy finish that capped off a solid display.

Joe Rothwell – 6/10

Rothwell kept the midfield ticking with some neat passes, but his impact was limited. He moved the ball well but lacked any standout moments before being substituted.

Manor Solomon – 7/10

Solomon was the standout performer in attack, scoring an early goal and creating problems for Wednesday’s defence. His work rate and creativity were impressive throughout.

Brenden Aaronson – 6.5/10

Aaronson had a decent game, making some good runs and linking up play well. While his impact was not as significant as others, he contributed positively to the team’s performance.

Dan James – 7/10

James’ pace caused constant issues for Wednesday’s defence, especially in the first half. Although he was quieter in the second half, his overall performance was strong.

Joel Piroe – 5/10

Piroe struggled to get involved and was largely anonymous throughout the match. Apart from a few decent passes, it wasn’t his best outing.

Substitutes

  • Ilia Gruev – 5.5/10: Came on and worked hard but didn’t have much impact.
  • Mateo Joseph – 5.5/10: Showed energy but couldn’t influence the game significantly.
  • Largie Ramazani – 6.5/10: Made a late impact with a crucial goal, sealing the victory for Leeds.

Final Thoughts

Leeds United’s players delivered a collective performance that secured three important points. With several players stepping up, the Whites continue to show their strength and determination in their push for promotion.
