Leeds are now very close to signing Jayden Lienou, a young 17-year-old left-back from Manchester City.

According to reports from the Yorkshire Evening Post, the deal could be completed very soon.

Lienou hasn’t made a senior appearance for Man City, but he’s been impressing in their youth ranks.

Before that, he was with Everton’s academy. He’s also played for the Wales U18 national team.

If he signs, Lienou is expected to join the Under-21 side at Thorp Arch.

But with the full-back position looking a bit thin, he could be given a chance with the first team if he impresses Farke and his staff.

Leeds Still Need a Proven Striker

While the left-back position is being sorted, Leeds also need to act fast on signing a proper striker.

Joel Piroe had a great season in the Championship, winning the Golden Boot.

But many fans and experts feel he might not be strong enough for the Premier League just yet.

Lukas Nmecha, another new signing, brings pace and flexibility but is likely to be used as a backup.
