The endless list of players linked to Leeds United just keeps on growing. After ten signings and over £100m spent, most fans would accept that business has concluded.
With just a few days to go, it seems as though the wheels haven’t stop turning just yet. In recent days, outgoings have dominated the headlines around Elland Road, with Largie Ramazani, Sam Greenwood, Isaac Schmidt, and Ilan Meslier all on the verge or having left the club.
The news of incomings have slowed down, but certain names who have been linked for the whole summer continue to be linked.
Premier League Interest In Getafe Striker
One of those names is Christantus Uche, who plays for Getafe in La Liga. According to TEAMTalk, the player and Premier League club have failed to agree on personal terms.
This is a setback for Wolves, and has alerted a number of other clubs interested in the striker of his availability – including Leeds.
There is still possibility that Wolves renegotiate terms with the player, but the affordability of this may depend on external factors.
The availability of Uche is a backdrop in the movement of the wider striker market currently stealing the headlines.
Aleksander Isak’s attempt to move to Newcastle, and Jorgen Strand-Larsen’s push to move to Newcastle are all contributing factors as to if Uche’s proposed move to the Premier League goes smoothly before the transfer deadline.

Who Is Christantus Uche?
Christantus Uche is a highly rated Nigerian striker currently plying his trade at Getafe in La Liga. At 22 years old, he has been tipped as the one of the brightest attacking prospects since Victor Boniface’s emergence in recent years.
Uche first rose to prominence in Spain’s youth systems and has steadily developed into a forward capable of leading the line. Last season, he scored 4 goals and assisted 6 times in 33 La Liga appearances. The striker that started this season positively, scoring 1 goal and assisting another in 2 wins so far.
Although still raw in certain aspects of his game, Uche’s profile is exactly the type of signing Leeds United’s ownership would find attractive.
Given the right guidance and nurturing, his £19m value could easily double within a few years if he is presented with the opportunity to lead the line at a historic club like Leeds.
Leeds And Their Perfect Striker Search
Leeds have already recruited heavily this summer in attack, with Daniel Farke overseeing the arrivals of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha on free transfers.
Despite this, and Joel Piroe already leading the line, the club remain keen to add another forward before September 1.
The breakdown in Wolves’ pursuit of Uche has opened the door for Leeds, but the finances could truly determine whether there is a real possibility of Getafe letting their main striker leave so close to the end of the transfer window, without already having a replacement ready themselves.
