Exciting £5m Deal: Midfielder Now Heading to Leeds United for Big Move

by Alex Matthews

Leeds United is moving quickly in the transfer market as the clock ticks down to deadline day on Monday.

Daniel Farke has been clear since pre-season that his side needs more power in attack, and now the club is making big steps to deliver.

The Whites have already added three strong names this week, but it looks like another fresh face is about to land at Elland Road very soon.

Reports suggest a talented midfielder is on his way to West Yorkshire to complete his move.

Busy Week at Elland Road

It has been a packed few days for Leeds. New arrivals have already been confirmed with Lukas Nmecha, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Noah Okafor all joining the squad to give Farke more options up front.

These players bring goals, pace, and experience that could help change the course of the season.

But while players have come in, others have gone out. Sam Greenwood was sold earlier this week, while Largie Ramazani and Isaac Schmidt were both loaned out to get more minutes elsewhere.

The big news, however, came when Patrick Bamford ended his long stay at the club by agreeing to terminate his contract.

This marked the end of an era at Elland Road and opened space in the squad for new arrivals.

Midfielder on the Way

The man expected to arrive in Leeds is 21-year-old Argentine midfielder Facundo Buonanotte.

He currently plays for Brighton, but Leeds have been working hard to secure him on loan.

Brighton still sees him as part of their long-term plans, but they believe a loan spell could help him grow with more game time.

Buonanotte showed his quality last season during a loan at Leicester City, where he managed five goals and two assists in a struggling team.

His ability to play both as an attacking midfielder and out wide makes him a perfect fit for Farke, who has been asking for more creativity and spark in the final third.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler spoke about the player, saying the club is happy with him and sees a big future ahead, but admitted that a loan is “an option” if it means more regular minutes for the youngster.

Leeds Fans Wait for News

If all goes to plan, Buonanotte will travel to Leeds on Friday to complete the deal.

However, it looks unlikely that he will play any part in Saturday’s match against Newcastle, as the timing is too tight.

For Leeds supporters, this could still be a huge signing.

The team has lacked consistency in attack, and Buonanotte’s energy, vision, and technical skill could be exactly what the side needs.

With the deadline only days away, fans will be hoping the club can wrap things up quickly and maybe even bring in more fresh faces before Monday night.
