Leeds United are now looking at a big name from Spain. The Whites have shown interest in signing Gonzalo Garcia on loan from Real Madrid.
This news has got fans very excited as the club looks to get ready for life back in the Premier League.
Garcia is only 21 years old but has already made a name for himself. He became a surprise hero for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, scoring four goals in six games.
This made him the top scorer of the tournament. Big names like Kylian Mbappe were in the squad, but Garcia stole the spotlight.
Why Leeds Need Gonzalo Garcia
Daniel Farke knows Leeds need a strong striker to help the team stay up this season. Joel Piroe scored 19 goals in the Championship last year, but the Premier League is much tougher.
Leeds need someone who can score goals against the best teams, and Garcia might be the man for that job.
Garcia has been in top form for Real Madrid Castilla, the second team of Madrid.
Last season, he scored an amazing 25 goals in 36 games. Because of this, he got a chance to play in the Club World Cup, and he took it.
He has played 12 times for the senior Real Madrid side and even scored in the Copa del Rey.
Now, he is looking for more first-team football. Reports say Leeds, Brentford, Sunderland and West Ham all want him.
Clubs from Europe are also interested, but Garcia is keen to play regular football next season.
Praise from Joselu, A Future Star?
Former Real Madrid striker Joselu has praised Garcia a lot.
He said the young forward works very hard, fights for every ball, and wins many duels even though he is tall.
Joselu believes Garcia will score a lot of goals in the future and could bring points for any team he joins.
This is why Leeds want him badly. The Whites know they need quality if they want to survive in the Premier League.
They are looking at more strikers too, but Garcia could be a big signing if the loan happens.
For now, Real Madrid have not decided if they will let him leave.
But Leeds will keep pushing because the club wants to make sure they have the firepower needed for the season ahead.
