Sheffield Wednesday fans are making big moves again. The supporters are not happy with owner Dejphon Chansiri, and now they have planned a new protest.
This one will take place when Wednesday face Leeds United in the EFL Cup.
The Owls are going through a very hard summer, and things keep getting worse. Fans believe the only way to push the owner out is by hitting him in the pocket.
Fans Call for Boycott
The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust put out a strong message on social media.
They told fans to stay away from the game against Leeds. The Trust said buying a ticket only puts more money into the owner’s hands, and they don’t want that to happen.

In the statement, the Trust wrote, “Every ticket puts money into the hands of an owner who has shown nothing but contempt for the fanbase. We know missing a match against a rival hurts, but sometimes fans must make a sacrifice.”
Instead of buying tickets, fans are being asked to give that money to charity.
They suggested supporters donate to Sheffield Children’s Hospital, turning the anger into something positive for the community.
Ongoing Problems at Hillsborough
Life at Sheffield Wednesday has been very rough. New boss Henrik Pedersen is already under heavy pressure after two defeats to start the Championship season.
Problems with signing new players, even after the transfer embargo was lifted, have made things worse.
The only bright spot so far came in the first round of the EFL Cup.
Wednesday beat Bolton on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw. But now, with Premier League Leeds United coming up, the focus has shifted from football to protests.
Fans Want Chansiri Out
This boycott is not just about one game. Supporters believe starving Chansiri of money is the only way to force him out.
Ticket prices at Hillsborough are already among the highest in the Championship, and many fans feel they are not getting value.

The owner’s high valuation of the club has scared away possible buyers in the past.
Many believe he will not sell unless he is forced. Since the EFL has no power to push him out, fans think they must take action themselves.
As one fan said online, “If he won’t leave, we must make it too hard for him to stay.”
Leeds Match to Be Overshadowed
Normally, a Leeds United game would bring excitement and a big crowd. But this time it may be very different.
The boycott call is strong, and many fans look ready to join in. For Sheffield Wednesday, the clash with Leeds could bring drama both on and off the pitch.
The protests look set to continue until something changes at the top of the club. For now, Owls supporters have made their message clear, they want Chansiri gone.
