Leeds United are stepping up big time this summer, now closing in on two top midfield signings, Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United and Anton Stach from Hoffenheim.
The Whites look ready to splash the cash to give Daniel Farke a squad strong enough to survive in the Premier League.
Longstaff Set for Leeds Medical
Sean Longstaff looks very close to becoming a Leeds player. The Whites had a £12 million bid turned down last week, but now a deal is nearly done.
According to top reporter David Ornstein, Newcastle and Leeds have now agreed on a deal worth £15 million including add-ons.
Longstaff has been on Leeds’ radar for a while, and Fabrizio Romano has now dropped his famous “Here We Go” meaning the move is happening.
The 27-year-old is set to have his medical and should sign very soon.
This deal will be a big boost for the midfield, giving Leeds experience and strength in the middle of the park.
Stach Agrees Personal Terms with Leeds

While the Longstaff deal moves forward, Leeds are also very close to signing Anton Stach from German club Hoffenheim.
Reports say the club has already agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old midfielder, now they just need to agree a transfer fee with Hoffenheim.
Stach is valued at around £17.3 million but that price could go up with add-ons.
He’s a strong and clever midfielder, just the type Farke needs to add energy and power to the squad.
Summer Signings So Far
Leeds have already been busy in the transfer window. Here’s a quick look at their confirmed signings:
Player | Fee |
Lukas Nmecha | Free |
Jaka Bijol | £15m |
Sebastiaan Bornauw | £5.1m |
Gabriel Gudmundsson | £10m |
Sean Longstaff | £15m* |
Anton Stach | £17.3m+* |
That brings the total spending to over £62 million, but there’s still room in the budget.
Leeds reportedly have close to £150 million to spend this summer if needed.
Farke Building a Premier League-Ready Squad
With these moves, Daniel Farke is showing he’s serious. The squad is being built to avoid relegation and compete in the Premier League.
Adding players like Longstaff and Stach shows Leeds are focused on building strength in midfield, a key area that cost them points last season.
More signings could be on the way, depending on player exits. But Leeds fans can already see the club is going in the right direction.
Things are heating up at Elland Road and it’s looking like a summer to remember.
