Leeds XI Leak: Farke Ready to Drop £25m Star and Shock Favourite in Huge Wolves Clash

by Alex Matthews

Leeds United are ready for one of the most important games of the season so far.

On Saturday afternoon, Daniel Farke will take his team to Molineux to play Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This is the fifth game of the Premier League season, and many fans believe it could already be a big moment in the fight to stay up.

Wolves have lost all four of their games so far, and Leeds sit on four points after some hard battles.

Both sides are expected to be around the bottom half of the table, so the result here could be vital.

Leeds Need Luck on Their Side

Leeds have been a little unlucky this season. They got three points on the first day with a strong win over Everton, and they also managed to get a draw against a Champions League side.

Their last match, a 1-0 loss to Fulham, was harsh. Leeds made chances but still came away with nothing.

This weekend, luck might finally swing their way. Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen is ruled out, which is a big boost for Farke’s men.

Without his threat, the Leeds defence may feel more comfortable.

Injuries and Problems for Farke

Farke does have problems of his own. Lucas Perri is out, and Dan James picked up an injury after coming on against Fulham. Joel Piroe might have been available but did not travel.

That leaves Farke with choices to make, especially in attack.

In midfield, things should stay the same. Ethan Ampadu, Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff are expected to line up together once more.

That trio has brought energy and balance, even if results have not always gone Leeds’ way.

The defence is where Farke may be bold. Pascal Struijk has been solid at times this season but struggled badly against Fulham, losing four out of six duels.

This could open the door for Jaka Bijol to finally get his first Premier League start.

Harrison Back to Make an Impact?

The other expected change is on the wing. Jack Harrison looks set to return to the starting eleven. Harrison has been working hard to get back into form, and he has a good record against Wolves in the past.

With his pace and direct play, he might give Leeds the spark they’ve been missing.

Brenden Aaronson, who cost Leeds £25 million when they re-signed him, could be the one to drop out.

His performance at Fulham did little to silence critics, and fans have been calling for something different.

Predicted XI vs Wolves

Here is the likely Leeds line-up for the Wolves clash:

  • Goalkeeper: Karl Darlow, steady hands between the posts, expected to keep his place.

  • Right-back: Jayden Bogle, his energy down the right will be important.

  • Centre-back: Joe Rodon, has been solid and looks to be a mainstay in defence.

  • Centre-back: Jaka Bijol, could finally make his first Premier League start.

  • Left-back: Gabriel Gudmundsson, offers balance on the left side.

  • Midfield 1: Ethan Ampadu, the engine in the middle, keeps things moving.

  • Midfield 2: Anton Stach, adds power and control in midfield.

  • Midfield 3: Sean Longstaff, his work rate makes him key for Leeds.

  • Right wing: Jack Harrison, tipped to return and bring fresh spark.

  • Striker: Dominic Calvert-Lewin, expected to lead the line again.

  • Left wing: Noah Okafor, brings pace and threat from the left side.

Must-Win Feeling

This is not just another Premier League match. Leeds need goals and points, and Wolves are the kind of opponent they must beat to stay out of trouble.

Farke’s changes could be the difference between three points and another frustrating day.

Leeds fans will travel to Molineux with hope, but also nerves. The team has shown fight, but now it’s time to show quality.

Win this game, and survival suddenly looks a bit brighter. Lose it, and the pressure on Farke will grow even louder.
