Leeds United are back in the Premier League and now looking to build a strong team. The owners, 49ers, are ready to spend money this summer. They want to fix key parts of the team, starting with the goalkeeper, defence, and midfield.
One player Leeds want now is Coventry City star Jack Rudoni. The 25-year-old had a brilliant season and is now on Leeds’ radar again.
Leeds Need to Build a Strong Spine
Leeds United know they need a better team for the Premier League. The goalkeeper position is one of the biggest worries. Illan Meslier may leave, and Leeds have been linked with many new keepers.
In defence, Pascal Struijk keeps getting injured, and Max Wober is set to leave. That leaves a gap in the centre-back role. Leeds also don’t want to lose Ethan Ampadu from midfield, as he has been one of their best players.
Midfield is another area that needs help. Joe Rothwell and Josuha Guilavogui are gone, and Brenden Aaronson hasn’t done much since coming back. So, Leeds want a new number 10, a creative player in the middle and Rudoni could be the answer.

Rudoni Impresses at Coventry
Jack Rudoni joined Coventry in summer 2024 for just £5 million. He has become one of their top players. Last season, he helped with 22 goals, 21 of them in the Championship.
Coventry made it to the play-offs, but they lost in the semi-final to Sunderland. Even with that loss, Rudoni’s great season has made many clubs notice him including Leeds United.
Leeds have not made a bid yet, but they are thinking about a move. Transfer expert Graeme Bailey says Leeds like Rudoni a lot. It’s also interesting that Marcelo Bielsa liked Rudoni back in 2022 when he was still playing for Wimbledon.
Agent Links Could Help Deal
Rudoni is with Unique Sports Group (USG), a big football agency. They also manage other players Leeds have looked at, like Djordje Petrovic, Cameron Archer, and Callum Wilson. So, it’s likely Leeds will talk to USG more this summer.
We don’t know yet how much Coventry will ask for Rudoni. But after his strong season, they might ask for three or four times the £5m they paid.
Leeds United need strong players to stay in the Premier League. Jack Rudoni could be a great signing. He’s young, full of energy, and already proven in the Championship. Fans will hope Leeds move fast and get him this summer.
