Leeds United confirmed that a supporter tragically passed away before the club’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Elland Road.
It was first reported in the aftermath of the game by several media outlets, before the club issued a statement on the passing.
“Leeds United are devastated to confirm that a supporter sadly passed away ahead of our Premier League fixture with Manchester United at Elland Road,” the club said.
“The thoughts of everyone at Leeds United are with the family and friends of the supporter at this exceptionally difficult time.”

Further details have not been posted by the club, but supporters on social media had stated that emergency response were called prior to kick off to attend the scene in the stands.
There was also a minute’s silence during the game in the 22nd minute for a 22 year-old season ticket holder at Leeds United called Joshua Pick. The supporter sadly died in his sleep on 3 December 2025, and fans were encouraged to take part in the applause during the game. A memoriam picture was shown in the 22nd minute of the game, with Joshua’s father and sister in attendance on Sunday.
Our thoughts and condolences at LUFCNews are with the families of both Leeds United supporters.
