Leeds United have made another big move in the summer transfer window by signing Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri.
The 26-year-old joins as the club’s seventh signing, and fans are already calling it a smart bit of business.
But while the goalkeeper deal has gone smooth, Leeds may have to forget about a striker they were chasing, Nikola Krstovic.
Dream Come True for Lucas Perri
Lucas Perri has arrived in England full of excitement. Speaking to LUTV, he said moving to Leeds is a “dream come true.”
The Brazilian keeper was clearly happy with the welcome he got at Elland Road.
“Thanks for the trust and warm welcome,” he said. “It’s a dream day for me.”
As soon as he found out about the club’s interest, Perri began watching videos of the stadium and the fans.

He said the chance to join Leeds felt “really exciting” and that everything happened very quickly once the clubs agreed on the move.
Leeds have done well this summer, getting most of their targets quickly.
The club only goes after players who really want to join, and that helps to speed things up. Perri is the latest to say yes to the Whites.
Krstovic Not Keen on England Move
While fans are happy with the new goalkeeper, there is some bad news on the striker front.
Leeds have been trying to sign Nikola Krstovic from Serie A side Lecce, but the 25-year-old doesn’t seem interested in moving to England.
Reports in Italy say Leeds made another offer, but the striker turned it down again.
Lecce’s club president, Saverio Sticchi Damiani, was even spotted talking to Krstovic last week. Still, it looks like the player wants to stay in Italy.
Earlier in the summer, AS Roma were linked with Krstovic, but they’ve now gone for Evan Ferguson on loan from Brighton.
Time to Move On?
It might be time for Leeds United to look at other striker options. Krstovic has said no more than once, and it’s clear he prefers to stay in Italy.
Even though Lecce are looking for his replacement, it doesn’t look like the Montenegro striker will wear a Leeds shirt anytime soon.
The Whites still need another striker before the window shuts, but they should go after someone who actually wants to be part of the journey.
