Leeds Launch Fiery Move for “Premier League Beast”: Farke Ditches £30M Beto for Deadly Goal Machine

by Alex Matthews

Leeds United are looking to sign a strong striker this summer and Rodrigo Muniz from Fulham is now top of their list.

With the new Premier League season just two months away, Leeds need fresh power up front if they want to stay in the top flight and not fall back into the Championship.

Bamford’s Time Looks Over

Back in 2020, Leeds made a great return to the Premier League after 16 years.

They finished 9th in their first season back, and Patrick Bamford was on fire, scoring 17 goals and even earning a call-up for England.

But now, at 31 years old, Bamford has not scored a single goal in the whole of the 2024/25 season. His best days seem behind him.

Leeds know they can’t rely on him anymore. If they want to survive next season, they must bring in a forward who can score goals and keep the team alive in the league.

Muniz or Beto? The Better Pick Is Clear

Two strikers have been linked with Leeds, Rodrigo Muniz from Fulham and Beto from Everton.

But when you look at the stats, it’s clear Muniz is the better pick. Muniz scored 8 goals this season from just 8 starts in 31 games.

His minutes per goal is 120, while Beto also scored 8 but took longer, 191 minutes per goal.

Muniz is sharper in front of goal and more effective with less time on the pitch.

Also, Muniz is better with the ball. He has more passes into the final third, better passing accuracy, and wins more aerial duels.

He also draws more fouls, which means he causes more trouble for defenders and can win free-kicks in good positions.

Muniz Has Premier League Experience

Another reason why Leeds are chasing Muniz is that he knows how to play in the Premier League.

He’s already shown that he can score against top teams and handle the pressure.

Fulham teammate Willian even said Muniz is “one of the best strikers in the Premier League.” That’s high praise from a top player.

Leeds Need To Act Fast

Reports say Leeds are preparing an offer for Muniz. Fulham may ask for a big fee, but if Leeds want to stay up, they must spend money in the right areas.

Muniz is young, hungry, and already proven in England. He could be the perfect signing to help Daniel Farke’s side stay in the Premier League next season.
