Leeds United will return to Premier League action this Saturday with a massive trip to Turf Moor, facing Burnley in what could be one of their toughest away days yet.
But before a ball is even kicked, there’s already drama and Daniel Farke isn’t happy one bit after the Premier League fixture announcement revealed who will referee the match.
Farke Unhappy with Premier League Referee Decision
The Premier League news confirmed that Tim Robinson will take charge of the Burnley vs Leeds United match.
Robinson will be joined by assistants Richard West and Mark Scholes, with Tim Wood working as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
This announcement has caused real anger inside Elland Road, especially for Leeds United boss Daniel Farke, who has a long and tense history with Robinson.
The German manager has openly criticised him in the past for poor calls that cost Leeds vital points.
Robinson hasn’t yet officiated a Premier League fixture this season but has refereed 39 top-flight games in his career.
He’s already handed out 14 yellow cards in just three games this campaign, a stat that will surely worry both sides heading into this heated contest.

Why Leeds Fans Are Worried
This isn’t the first time Leeds United have been left frustrated by Robinson’s decisions.
During the club’s Championship run, Robinson missed what looked like two clear handballs in a match against Sunderland, moments that Farke called “unbelievable” at the time.
Leeds went on to lose that season’s play-off final to Southampton, and Farke didn’t hold back, saying he expected another “apology letter” from the EFL after the referee’s mistakes.
And it goes even further back. In 2019, when Marcelo Bielsa was still in charge, Robinson gave Fulham a soft penalty against Leeds for minimal contact on Bobby Decordova-Reid, leaving players and fans stunned.
So it’s no surprise the latest Premier League fixture announcement has caused such frustration among supporters.
Burnley vs Leeds: What’s at Stake
This Premier League fixture at Turf Moor is huge for both sides. Burnley are desperate for points after losses to Aston Villa and Manchester City, while Leeds are looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.
Farke’s men have made a solid start to life back in the top flight, but a win here could lift spirits and ease some of the pressure.
However, with a referee Leeds fans don’t trust, the tension will be sky-high.
All Eyes on Robinson
With so much on the line, every decision from the Premier League referee will be watched closely.
Any wrong call could spark more outrage and headlines in the Premier League news cycle.
For now, all Farke can do is prepare his players to stay calm and focused, even if the officiating gets tough. But one thing’s for sure, Leeds fans will be keeping a close eye on Robinson’s whistle at Turf Moor.
