Leeds United are looking to make a big move this summer, and Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas is now top of the list.
With Junior Firpo and Sam Byram both possibly leaving, Daniel Farke is in real need of a strong left-back before the new Premier League season kicks off.
Tsimikas has been with Liverpool since 2020 but hasn’t played much, sitting behind Andy Robertson most of the time.
Now, Liverpool are close to signing Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez and that likely means Tsimikas is on his way out.
This is good news for Leeds United. If Tsimikas become available, they’ll be ready to move fast. The Greek international has plenty of experience at a top club, and he could be just what Leeds need to stay up next season.

Firpo and Byram Future Still Up in the Air
Leeds currently have two main options at left-back, Junior Firpo and Sam Byram. But things are not clear with either of them.
Firpo’s contract is close to ending. The club have offered him a new deal, but he’s being linked with a move away. Byram is also in talks about staying, but nothing’s been agreed yet.
Atletico Madrid Also Interested: Leeds Still in the Fight
It’s not all plain sailing for Leeds though. Big Spanish club Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in Tsimikas.
And there’s always the chance Liverpool keeps hold of him just in case.
To make things a bit more confusing, Tsimikas’ brother recently posted something online, hinting that he might stay at Liverpool and win more titles.
But if Kerkez signs, it’s likely Tsimikas will want to leave to get more minutes on the pitch.

Farke Needs Clarity Soon
Daniel Farke needs to sort this out fast. He can’t start pre-season without knowing who his left-backs will be.
If Firpo leaves and Byram doesn’t sign, Leeds could be in trouble.
Signing someone like Tsimikas would not only fix the problem but also give the fans a lift. He’s rated at around £15 million, which could be a smart investment to help Leeds stay in the top flight.
With the transfer window opening on June 1st, expect things to move quickly. Leeds United could be ready to strike and fans will be hoping it’s the Greek star walking through the doors at Elland Road.
