Everton are reportedly keeping a close eye on Leeds United right-back Jayden Bogle as the January transfer window approaches.
Sources told Football Insider that the Mersey riders are ready to enter the market for a new right-back who can become a long-term first-choice for the club.
Bogle, 25, has impressed since joining Leeds from Sheffield United in the summer of 2024. Over the past 18 months, he has become a key player under Daniel Farke, starting all 16 of Leeds’ Premier League games this season.
Despite Leeds’ struggles, the defender has stood out as one of their better performers at Elland Road.

Why Everton Is Interested
Everton’s current first-choice right-back is Jake O’Brien, 24, who has done a solid job this season after taking over from club legend Seamus Coleman.
However, the Toffees are looking for a player with more attacking threat, someone similar to Coleman at Everton, who can offer width, energy, and experience at the back.
Scouts at Everton believe Bogle fits this profile perfectly. He has shown he can defend well while also contributing going forward, which makes him a perfect candidate for Everton signing in January.
With Bogle under contract at Leeds until 2028, any move is likely to involve serious negotiations, but Everton seems prepared to make a big effort to secure him.

Bogle’s Rise at Leeds United
Jayden Bogle has quickly adapted to Premier League football. Many questioned whether he could step up from Sheffield United, but he has proved himself as a reliable and energetic full-back.
Fans at Leeds have appreciated his consistency and ability to get up and down the right flank, supporting both defence and attack.
For Everton player recruitment, Bogle represents a young yet experienced option who can contribute immediately.
His ability to link up play, cross accurately, and defend one-on-one has caught the attention of the Merseyside club.
Bringing him in could strengthen Everton’s squad and give manager David Moyes more options for the rest of the season.

Leeds Brace for January Departures
Bogle is not the only player linked with a mid-season exit. Leeds’ goalkeeper Illan Meslier is widely expected to leave, with AC Milan and Inter Milan reportedly interested.
Meslier, who is 25, is out of contract next summer and has not played this season under Farke, making his departure likely.
Losing key players like Bogle and Meslier could affect Everton Leeds encounters with Leeds and the wider Premier League campaign.
Leeds will need to manage their squad carefully to maintain defensive strength and stability if multiple departures happen in January.

What This Could Mean for Everton
For Everton, landing Bogle would be a statement about Everton signing. It would provide cover and competition at right-back, and potentially give the team more attacking options from defence.
The move could also signal that Everton latest news will continue to focus on improving the squad mid-season to avoid relegation worries.
Fans are already talking about the possibility, with excitement around a player who has proved himself in a tough Premier League environment.
If the deal goes through, Bogle could be a major boost ahead of key Everton matches in the second half of the season.
