Leeds United have confirmed that winger Jack Harrison has joined Serie A side Fiorentina on loan for the rest of the 2025/26 season.
In a club statement, the official website read:
“Leeds United can confirm Jack Harrison has joined Italian side ACF Fiorentina on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season. The winger will join La Viola as they look to climb the Serie A table, with the team currently just outside of the relegation positions.
Harrison has featured 13 times in all competitions for the Whites this season and now heads to Stadio Artemio Franchi for the remainder of the campaign. Everyone would like to wish Jack well during his time away from the club.”

Limited Opportunities Left Club With Easy Harrison Decision
The winger found it tough under manager Daniel Farke this season, making only one Premier League start this season. That was against Burnley in a 2-0 loss back in October, with his 2 only other starts coming in the FA Cup and League Cup. Harrison has failed to register a goal or an assist in any competition, but has had limited chances to do so from the substitutes bench.
The upturn of Leeds United’s form has largely been thanks to a formation change by Farke which has seen him shift the side from a 4-3-3 to a 3-5-2 shape. As a result, Harrison has fell down the pecking order with no traditional ‘winger’ role available in the setup. Gabriel Gudmondsson is the favoured man at left wingback, with many of United’s other attackers versatile enough to play in central or forward roles.
Fortunes for the former Everton man were already written earlier in the season. Noah Okafor and Brendan Aaronson were preferred on the left side, as well as Wilfred Gnonto. New loan signing Facundo Buonanotte sealed the deal for Harrison’s fate, focusing his shift to helping Serie A side Fiorentina fight for relegation.
From One Relegation Battle To Another
Former Leeds favourite Manor Solomon also joined La Viola on loan this month from Tottenham Hotspurs, further boosting their options out wide. The Serie A side have enjoyed a recent resurgence after surprisingly being rooted to the bottom of the table for the better part of this campaign.
Harrison has plenty of experience in the English game, having played for the likes of Manchester City, and Everton as recently as last season, before coming back to Elland Road. Sour tastes were left by Harrison’s decision to leave United when the lub was fighting for promotion in the Championship. Other players stuck around, so the label of being a fan favourite a few years ago quickly eroded before an exit was written on the cards.
For both parties, it feels like the right time to part ways, albeit temporarily for the time-being. With this move, Harrison is expected to move on in the summer as he has fallen out of favour with Farke’s vision for the team moving forward. He was a standout player under Marcelo Bielsa in The Whites’ last stint in the Premier League.
