Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min is leaving the club after 10 long years, and young teammate Archie Gray has shared an emotional message to say goodbye.
Son, who is now 33 years old, has decided to move to LAFC in the United States.
His final match for Spurs came against Newcastle United, and now he’s making a £15 million switch to the MLS.
After scoring 173 goals and getting 101 assists in 454 games for Tottenham, Son leaves behind a massive legacy.
Archie Gray, who only joined Tottenham last summer from Leeds United for £40 million, has spoken about how much Son helped him since arriving at the club.
“Thank you Sonny for everything,” Gray posted on Instagram. “You have helped me so much since I came to Spurs. Playing and training with you every day was like a dream come true. You are not just an amazing footballer, but an even better person.”
Gray also mentioned that Son was a leader in the team who supported everyone, players and staff and always led by example.
He ended his message with crying and heart emojis, showing how much he’ll miss the South Korean legend.

Gray’s journey from Leeds to Tottenham
Archie Gray started his professional football journey at Leeds United.
He made his debut in the 2023/24 season opener against Cardiff City and went on to play 44 matches in the Championship.
He had a strong season but sadly couldn’t help Leeds secure promotion to the Premier League.
Leeds lost to Southampton in the play-off final at Wembley, and that summer, Gray made the big decision to leave his boyhood club.
Despite interest from other teams like Brentford, he chose Spurs.
At first, it looked like a risky move because Tottenham had a rough league season.
But things turned around. Spurs won the UEFA Europa League and now they are set to play in the Champions League next season.
Gray could also be in the squad for the UEFA Super Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain next week.
After that, Spurs will take on Burnley as the new Premier League season begins.
A new chapter begins for both
As Son Heung-min starts a new life in the United States, and Archie Gray settles into life at Tottenham, both players are entering new chapters in their careers.
Son leaves behind a big legacy, and Gray, who was lucky to share the pitch with him, will now aim to carry forward the spirit and quality Son brought to the club.
Spurs fans will surely be watching both players closely in the months ahead.
