With eleven games gone into the Premier League season, the biggest assessment of this Leeds United team is that they need goals – and lots of them.
Only Wolves, rooted at the bottom of the league table have scored less, whilst Nottingham Forest, who United lost to before the international break are second joint lowest alongside the West Yorkshire club. Forest have been enjoying a resurgence under new manager Sean Dyche, so will be firing on all cylinders having scored 5 goals in their last 2 matches against Manchester United and Leeds.
Daniel Farke‘s side linger dangerously above the relegation zone, with calls to sack the Leeds manager before the club endure one of the toughest fixture runs of any team between now and January.

Leeds United Interested In AZ Alkmaar Hotshot
According to Dutch outlet Voetbal Nieuws, Leeds have re-ignited their interest in signing AZ Alkmaar striker Troy Parrott.
The Premier League club showed interest over the summer, but nothing materialised as United opted to make moves for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha on free transfers instead. In the summer, The Whites were quoted a fee of around £26.5million which felt far fetched for the Yorkshire club at the time.
Parrott has scored 13 goals and 2 assist this season for AZ, and on Sunday night scored a hat-trick for Republic of Ireland as they secured a World Cup play-off spot. The Irish striker also scored two goals against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal side last week which capped off a hot streak in Irish colours for the striker.
If AZ will be forced their hand in selling the striker this January, it will take a fee bigger than the one quoted in the summer to take him away from Netherlands. The Dutch side are reportedly looking to make him the biggest sale in the club’s history, more profitable than Tijjani Reijnders’ move to AC Milan in 2023.
Leeds And Their Desperation For Goals
With Leeds desperate for goals, clubs around Europe know of the club’s struggles and will likely add a few million on top of asking prices should the club make a move for anyone.
AZ play in the UEFA Conference League this season, but have struggled and have won just one game in the group stages so far., losing 3-1 to Crystal Palace in their most recent fixture. This could prove a hindrance to any move for Parrott, however AZ could be all but out by the time January comes around.
The striker has experience of playing in the Championship and League One before, but not in the Premier League despite coming through the ranks at Spurs. Could Leeds make a move for the 23 year-old destined for a Premier League move to help save their season?
