Leeds United produced a brave and determined performance to earn a valuable 0-0 draw away against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
It was not an easy afternoon for Daniel Farke’s side, especially after they were forced to play the entire second half with ten men.
The match had several dramatic moments. Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed a penalty in the first half, and later Gabriel Gudmundsson was sent off after receiving a second yellow card from referee Thomas Bramall.
Despite these setbacks, Leeds showed incredible fighting spirit. The players defended their goal with determination and stopped Palace from creating many clear chances.
Below is a full breakdown of how the Leeds players performed during the tough battle in South London.
Karl Darlow: 8/10
Karl Darlow delivered an excellent performance between the posts for Leeds United.
The goalkeeper stayed alert throughout the match and made a couple of important reflex saves when Palace tried to test him. Darlow also showed good decision-making when coming off his line to punch crosses away.
His kicking was solid and helped Leeds clear the danger when the team was under pressure late in the game. Overall, he played a big role in helping Leeds keep a clean sheet.
James Justin: 8/10
James Justin worked extremely hard on the right side for Leeds.
During the first half he tried to push forward and support the attack, although Leeds struggled to create many clear chances. After the red card, Justin had to focus mainly on defending.
He handled the pressure well and stayed disciplined to help Leeds protect their goal.
Joe Rodon: 8/10
Joe Rodon delivered a strong performance in defence.
In the first half he pushed forward occasionally and even delivered a dangerous cross into the box. However, the second half was almost entirely about defending.
Rodon stayed focused and made several key clearances to stop Palace attacks.
Jaka Bijol: 7/10
Jaka Bijol had a slightly shaky start to the match.
The defender was booked in the first half and had to be careful for the rest of the game. However, he improved greatly in the second half.
Bijol recovered well and made some important defensive contributions as Leeds tried to hold on for a point.
Pascal Struijk: 8/10
Pascal Struijk was another key figure in the Leeds defence.
He defended the penalty area very well and dealt with several crosses from Crystal Palace. Struijk also looked dangerous when Leeds had set-piece opportunities.
His strong presence helped Leeds remain organised under pressure.
Gabriel Gudmundsson: 6/10
Gabriel Gudmundsson had a difficult afternoon.
The defender tried to support the attack and delivered a few decent crosses during the first half. However, his game ended early after he received two yellow cards.
The second booking proved very costly for Leeds as they had to play the rest of the match with ten men.
Ethan Ampadu: 9/10

Ethan Ampadu was arguably the best player on the pitch.
The Leeds captain showed leadership, strength and determination in midfield. After the red card, Ampadu worked tirelessly to protect the defence.
He made several crucial tackles and clearances, especially during the second half when Palace pushed forward.
His performance was full of passion and commitment.
Anton Stach: 7/10
Anton Stach had a steady performance in midfield.
He delivered a few good set-piece balls into the penalty area and kept possession well when Leeds had the ball.
Although the match became very defensive after the red card, Stach still managed to show good composure in tight situations.
Brenden Aaronson: 5/10
Brenden Aaronson worked hard but struggled to influence the game.
He pressed Palace players and tried to win the ball back, but his attacking contribution was limited.
Aaronson was sacrificed at half-time as Daniel Farke reshaped the team following the red card.
Lukas Nmecha: 6/10
Lukas Nmecha looked lively during the first half.
The forward caused a few problems for the Palace defence with his movement and energy. However, like Aaronson, he was substituted at half-time as Leeds adjusted their tactics.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 6/10
Dominic Calvert-Lewin worked hard for the team and won several aerial duels.
However, the biggest moment of the match came when he missed a penalty in the first half. The striker dragged the ball wide of the post, which was a huge opportunity for Leeds to take the lead.
Even so, he continued to fight for the team and helped defensively in the second half.
Jayden Bogle: 7/10
Jayden Bogle came off the bench and performed well.
The defender focused mainly on clearing the ball and helping Leeds defend deep. Although he did not have many chances to attack, he did his defensive job effectively.
Ilia Gruev: 7/10
Ilia Gruev also made a solid contribution after coming on.
He worked hard to press Palace players and added energy to the Leeds midfield. His effort helped Leeds keep their defensive shape.
Thomas Bramall: 3/10
Referee Thomas Bramall had a difficult afternoon.
While he correctly awarded the penalty to Leeds earlier in the match, his handling of the Gudmundsson sending-off confused.
Some felt the referee forgot that Gudmundsson had already been booked earlier in the game, which created controversy around the decision.
His overall performance was inconsistent and frustrated both teams at times.
Brave Leeds Earn Valuable Point
In the end, Leeds United showed incredible determination to leave Selhurst Park with a point.
Playing an entire half with ten men is always difficult, but Daniel Farke’s side defended brilliantly and refused to give up.
The draw could prove extremely important in Leeds’ fight to stay in the Premier League.
For Leeds fans, the performance showed that the team has the character and resilience needed to survive in the top flight.
